My Dog is a Nosy Neighbor

Monday, May 2, 2011

Charlie has recently discovered windows. With the set up of our condo, there is only one window that Charlie can look out of and actually see something interesting. Earlier this winter, he started putting his paws up on the window ledge and watched people and dogs go by.

In the past couple of weeks, he has started sitting on an ottoman that we have by the window. Yes, our dog makes himself at home on his little "chair" and spies people like a nosy neighbor. This morning while we were still asleep, he actually got up, left our bedroom and went to his window, apparently to see who was out and about at 5:30am.

Have any of your pets picked up any, err, odd habits lately?

In our second floor guest bedroom, the bed is right next to the window. Kingsley has claimed that as "his", and he loves looking out onto the world. He also likes to rest his chin on the window sill :)

Cute!! Our cat loves to shamelessly stare at neighbors and passersby. If he can manage, he'll sit on the sill of an open window. We also have a couch backed up to a window in our living room, and he loves that spot so much that I gave him his own blanket to sit on there.

We're on the 3rd floor, and my dogs are OBSESSED with looking out the window, so you're not alone!

Oh my gosh, that is the cutest thing ever! We have long vertical blinds in front of our sliding glass door, and Lucia will peek her nose through to spy on the ducks down at the pond behind our apartment. It's so cute!

Too funny that he snuck out of your room to gaze! Does he bark when people go by? Our doggies go insane anytime they see someone outside but they LOVE when I open the blinds on the big front windows in our living room.

Izzy is totally nosy and is probably borderline stalker. We have over 20 windows she is tall enough to look out of.
