Tex...I totally hear you on some weird eating rules! Texture is usually what gets me...I can't eat shrimp or other shellfish; they freak me out. And don't get me started with berries. I won't eat them; the little seeds/texture on the outside of strawberries drive me up the wall. I can't eat them...but I will eat things like strawberry or blueberry yogurt (but not the fruit on the bottom kind, ahhhh)...or even a blueberry muffin. I can't explain it...Katiehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01971232144056105034noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7815427684427502431.post-90273746993984638032010-07-07T21:59:23.299-05:002010-07-07T21:59:23.299-05:00I am a picky eater, too! I like salty, sweet, and...I am a picky eater, too! I like salty, sweet, and savory foods but anything even near bitter I can't stand. At all. Texture is a big thing, also. I don't like eating something and it's all one texture than suddenly I hit something a crunchy or hard. Makes me think I just ate a bug!

I also tend to eat foods in even numbered patterns. Like eating two M&Ms at a time and counting my bites (1, 2, 1, 2, repeated. Not chronologically 1, 2, 3, 4, etc.....I'm not THAT crazy!) I eat sandwiches in a specific pattern and eat my dinner in a certain order.

Glad to know there's more picky eaters out there!Iowa Girlhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10066943185286169645noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7815427684427502431.post-21375059190835034372010-07-07T15:01:22.333-05:002010-07-07T15:01:22.333-05:00Oh, cucumber sammies are one of my favorite things...Oh, cucumber sammies are one of my favorite things on earth. HOWEVER if they get warm, I cannot do it. I kind of weirdly understand your loving it one minute, hating the next. Similarly I will be obsessed with a certain food for days, weeks, months, even years, and then all of a sudden hate it. Currently peanut butter, and sweet potatoes make me wanna wretch, but recently I was in love with them (an no, I'm not preggo - thats what everyone thinks when you say some food makes you nauseous).
I have a few food quirks too; can't drink water unless it is really cold, will not eat fish at all, but love (in small quantities) lobster, crab, shrimp, clams, etc. I can NOT eat shrimp with pasta.

I feel you.
